Hello! Merry Christmas!! This is Aoi from Machikoko staff, and my schedule is absolutely packed, or "yotepan" for short.
Although I'm working at Yotepan, I'm in high spirits and happy to be working after receiving a lovely mug and a cute blanket from our CEO Santa! 💪
We've started a video project with a machining prototype shop in Higashi-Osaka!
On this cheerful morning, the Digirection Division released a new video! It introduces Santo Prototype Models, a company that specializes in cutting prototypes of resins and light metals.
The idea started with a suggestion from Mr. Santo: "We often get questions from customers about the materials, so wouldn't it be helpful if we created a Q&A using videos?" This perspective of "Would customers be happy if there was a video like that?" is very typical of Mr. Santo. You can probably feel that same style from the conversation between the two of them in the video. This time, since it's the first installment, instead of a Q&A, we interviewed Mr. and Mrs. Santo.
Let's think about the project together
I really enjoy working on projects "together" with clients. I don't just come up with ideas and give instructions on my own, nor do I simply create exactly what the client requests. If I'm unsure, I'll ask, "What do you think?" And even if a client makes a suggestion, if I don't like it, I'll say, "I don't like that!" (laughs)
It's not that I dislike it, but since I'm communicating with a purpose, if I think the means to an end are wrong, I try to be honest about it ☺️ So far, there haven't been any heated arguments with customers arguing back (lol), but I think it would be nice if such a scene occurred in the future. My own convictions are important, and so is the perspective of a third party. That's why I want to create things together.
I enjoy coming up with ideas so much that I've been studying Yoshimoto Shinkigeki (a popular Japanese comedy troupe).
Since I visit clients every month, I enjoy being able to see the progress of their projects and how the atmosphere within the company changes accordingly. Lately, I've been thinking that it would be great to follow those project stories, and I've come up with several video series ideas in my head.
While thinking about various things (details omitted), I've been watching Yoshimoto Shinkigeki every night. I apologize for the Kansai-only jokes, but that feeling of "it's funny even though you know what's going to happen" and "you want to see the familiar patterns" is amazing (lol). I've gotten a lot of hints and my thoughts are organized, so I'd like to incorporate them into my plans starting in the new year!
If I'm slacking off, please call me out on it by saying, "Are you going to do it or not?"
