We held a basic course on injection molding and plastic mold making!

Hello.Hi, this is Chika from MACHICOCO staff.
I'm reporting on the injection molding and plastic mold basics course that was held the other day!

Held at the newly renovated, sparkling MACHICOCO!
The instructor was Mr. Tsushima from Tsushima Co., Ltd., a company specializing in the design and manufacture of plastic molds.

See firsthand how plastic is molded inside a transparent mold, and then try molding it yourself.

By experiencing the molding process yourself, you'll understand the difficult points of molding!

The first half will be a lecture. We will learn about plastic molding techniques.

Egg cartons, spray bottles, PET bottles... there are various manufacturing methods for the plastics around us, but "this one looks flat, so is it vacuum-sealed?"You'll be able to look for clues in the shape and deduce how it's made! This quiz is so much fun!

In the second half, we'll experience "injection molding," the most representative manufacturing method!

Normally, it's invisible because it's squishy inside the metal, butFor this course,A "transparent mold" that allows you to see the flow process. This was specially created for us by our instructor, Tsushima Co., Ltd.!

Thanks to this, you might encounter situations like, "Oh no! It's clogged," or "It's spilling out, maybe the tightening isn't tight enough,"You'll notice tips and the causes of problems. It's incredibly interesting because you can see the underlying principle and phenomenon right before your eyes. After trying a few times, you'll get the hang of it! 😚

I'm injecting the resin myself, but it's difficult to make sure it spreads evenly, leaves no air bubbles, and doesn't overflow!

This clearly illustrates the difficulty of mass-producing quickly, with high quality.

The process of making plastic and the structure of its molds. The story is interesting, the phenomena are fascinating to see, and the hands-on experience is also fascinating.

The participants were very interested and asked the instructor many questions.

「Shaping it using "my own strength" was really fun!We received the following feedback:

The instructor also commented, "The questions that the participants ask are different every time, and I learn a lot from them."

The next event will be held on Wednesday, April 21st, starting at 6 PM.So please do come! 😊✨ Online participation is also possible!

We also welcome requests for more in-depth learning opportunities!

Regarding the plastic molding course, some requests include: "I'd like to learn more about the materials used," "I want to learn about the history of molding technology," and "I'd like to learn about it in detail over several sessions."

It is also possible to customize the content you would like included and the format of the course.

SuchWe also accept requests for events to be held on a made-to-order basis. Therefore,Please feel free to contact us 😊 ▼
