Machikoko Spring Festa will be held on April 1st (Sat) and 2nd (Sun).
Experience the joy of making things with your family in Higashi-Osaka City
MACHICOCO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Higashi-Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; Representative Director: Kayoko Toya; hereinafter referred to as "the Company") will hold the "Machikoco Spring Festa," an event where parents and children can experience the joy of manufacturing, at the Company's headquarters in Higashi-Osaka City on April 1st (Sat) and 2nd (Sun).
Our company operates a manufacturing management business in Higashi-Osaka City, a town renowned for its manufacturing. Beyond simply producing goods, we strive to create the future of manufacturing by providing manufacturing spaces and fostering the next generation of talent.
This time, coinciding with the spring break, we will hold an experiential event for parents and children living in Higashi-Osaka City and the surrounding areas, creating an entry point for them to learn about the fun of making things and the appeal of the manufacturing industry.
<Features of Machikoko Spring Festa>
(1) Parents and children can easily experience making things together
Enjoy hands-on crafting experiences with your children that you wouldn't normally get to do. We offer authentic yet accessible crafting activities, such as making button badges, engraving, and creating glass tableware using sandblasting. We aim to introduce the joy of "making things" to people who have never experienced it before.
(2) Experience the skills of craftsmen up close
Craftsmen working in local factories will use specialized tools and machinery to create "signs" and "character headgear" over the two days of the event. The sign-making process will showcase the daily life of a local factory, including bending and welding metal. The character headgear will be made using a 3D printer, demonstrating the use of digital tools in manufacturing as well. By giving visitors a close look at the skills of craftsmen that can only be seen in local factories, the event aims to convey the technology of local factories and the appeal of manufacturing.
(3) To contribute to the revitalization of the region
To ensure that even young children can enjoy themselves, we will also be holding a festival on the day. In addition, by holding a flea market, we aim to create a place for local residents to connect and provide opportunities for communication. By bringing together and connecting people who live within a 2km radius of our company, we will build a system where the community comes together to create a better future for our children.
